A beautiful set of  rare mid century coffee tables / sidetables with a very distinct golden top. Belgium, mid 20th century. 
The simple yet elegant design resembles works by Belgian designer Emiel Veranneman - most notably the ‘floating’ top and overall proportions. 
Beautiful slender and simple profile with a nice lighter patina on the dark wooden frame. Combines wonderfully with the very distinct golden top which features a beautiful and rather expressive surface patina. 
Both sidetables are very elegant and sophisticated, yet somehow show a wonderful wabi sabi appearance at the same time.
